Our friend and Heartsfield co-founder, J.C. Hartsfield, has passed.  He was a talented musician and the author of "The Wonder of It All" and "Lafayette County."  In a lot of ways, he brought the country to Heartsfield.  The Heartsfield family will miss him, his humor, and his ready laugh.

His obituary follows:

J.C. retired from life on the road in the early 80’s., and settled in South Haven, MI.  It was in South Haven where J.C. started his own maintenance company; Hartsfield Maintenance, Inc.  J.C. took care of all the condominiums on North Shore Drive.  He was known as “The Man”.  He formed lasting friendships with several of the owners.  He retired in 2007 after 35 years of business.

Finally!! Heartsfield will be performing live at The Venue in Aurora, Illinois on Saturday, August 29th at 9 PM. Doors are at 8 PM.

We had deferred this performance due to the pandemic a couple of times but here is what is going to happen.

We go on at 9 PM and will perform 2 good sets and I bet you all would like an encore. Due to social distancing and since the limited reserved seat tickets have been on sale for a while, they are sold out.

But, there are two more opportunities to enjoy the performance. First, since the weather for Saturday is looking really good, The Venue will be raising the garage door and selling general admission seats in Mundy Park. Sound will be brought out, there will be projected video, and an outdoor bar will be available (as well as the bar inside).

The weather is looking really nice and you Heartsfield fans who do come out for the show, bring your masks and follow appropriate social distancing and other safety measures. If you attend with General Admission tickets, also bring a chair so you are comfortable

Tickets can be purchased at The Venue or on line. The link is below:
